Why is it that every single car I have had the carpet is like velcro, everything sticks to it.
When you vacuum it nothing shifts, you cant clean near the handbrake.
I think they should invent car carpets that lift right out do you?

I agree 100%. If you have a dog or a cat, their hair sticks to every type of automotive carpet I’ve ever seen – and most vacuums can’t get it out unless you just beat the everloving crap out of the carpet with the vacuum. The carpet in my newest car also is like a black-hole for sand too – the vacuum (either a dirt-devil brush vac, or my shop vac) has a really hard time pulling the sand out of it too….
If car manufacturers would offer optional carpet (or lack of carpet) that doesn’t collect everything on earth, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
buy a more expensive car, you dont have these issues with BMW’s
when you vacuum use the brush add on… and scrub while sucking… it gets it right out….
I always put the makers rubber mats on top because of this. You can scrub them off as needed. It meams you only have to vacuum the fixed carpets as no real mess gets on them.
Use a crevice tool by the handbrake, you know the long pointy attachment.
I sort of see what you mean, but some rigorous vacuuming always does the trick. The ones at the local car wash are much more powerful than a household vac.
Some vehicles are available with urethane floors, which clean off with a rag or even rinse off with a hose. Some trucks have this option, as does the Honda Element.
The only real cure for this problem in the long term will for manufacturers to focus more on the world’s biggest group of car users, mom/dads with young families coz that’s really when you find out how dirty the carpets can get. In the mean time, try the Dirt devil turbo or occassionally ask your dealer to remove the seats and get the car cleaned under them. Hope that helps.
Buy some brown parcel tape and put a couple of turns around your hand with the sticky side out, pat your carpet after you have vac it, you will lift a lot more stuff out of the carpet with the tape.
i clean are car wash,
